Richard J. Crossed

From 1985 to December 2000, Richard J. Crossed was the President of Conifer Realty Corporation and an Executive Vice President and Director of Home Properties of New York, Inc. Mr. Crossed was also President and Chief Executive Officer of Conifer Development, Inc. and Conifer Realty, Inc. He has over 30 years experience working in the real estate development industry. Prior to becoming President of Conifer in 1985, he served as Director of Development for Conifer and directed the design and construction of all of the projects carried out by the company. In 1996, Conifer merged its activities with Home Properties, a public real estate investment trust.

A graduate of Bellarmine College, Mr. Crossed served for three years as an economic consultant to Robert Gladstone Associates in Washington, D.C. Between 1967 and 1975, Mr. Crossed worked as a Financial Analyst and Project Director for the New York State Urban Development Corporation (UDC) in Rochester, New York. The UDC developed over 6,000 affordable housing units in Upstate New York, as well as implemented a number of urban redevelopment projects. In 1975, Mr. Crossed and two associates left UDC and formed Conifer Development, Inc.

Mr. Crossed was a Director of St. Joseph’s Villa from 1992 to 2000 and is active in many housing organizations. Mr. Crossed has served on the New York State Housing Turnkey Task Force Committee and is a founding member of the Rochester Housing Partnership. Mr. Crossed serves as Chairman and Managing Partner of Conifer.


Timothy D. Fournier

Timothy D. Fournier was formerly an Executive Vice President of Conifer Realty Corporation, the development arm of Home Properties of New York, Inc. Prior to the merger with Home Properties in 1996, he was the Vice President of Finance for Conifer Development, Inc., responsible for Corporate Accounting and Finance. Additionally, he was responsible for the financial and tax reporting for over one-hundred-and-forty limited partnerships that Conifer managed.

Prior to joining Conifer in 1986, Mr. Fournier worked for five years with Coopers & Lybrand in Rochester, New York, where he received his license as a Certified Public Accountant. During his tenure there, he concentrated in the areas of real estate accounting and taxation, and served as the Chairman of the Real Estate Committee and the Director of Recruiting.

Mr. Fournier received a B.S. Degree in Accounting from New Hampshire College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Fournier is the former President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Board of Directors, a Board Member of the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong and Nazareth College. Mr. Fournier is a principal and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Conifer.


C. Terence Butwid

C. Terence Butwid is currently President of Conifer Management, LLC, the property and asset management arm of Conifer Realty, LLC, and Executive Vice President and a principal of Conifer Realty, LLC. Mr. Butwid has been with the Conifer organization since 1990, first serving as Vice President of Conifer Development, Inc. and in 1996 as Executive Vice President of Conifer Realty, Corporation, which developed affordable housing for Home Properties of New York, Inc.

From 1981 to 1989 Mr. Butwid was President of Ontario Capital Management, involved in real estate, oil and gas syndications and real estate development.

From 1969 to 1981 Mr. Butwid was employed by Chase Lincoln First Bank with responsibilities in a number of areas including trust investment and portfolio management and was Vice President and Manager of Corporate Banking National Accounts upon his departure. Mr. Butwid successfully completed the first two Chartered Financial Analyst Examinations.

Mr. Butwid is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. He has a Masters of Business Administration from The American University and graduated from the National School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth College.

Mr. Butwid is a member of the Board of Directors of The School of the Holy Childhood and a member of the Board of Directors of the Episcopal Senior Life Communities. Mr. Butwid also served as Co-Chairman of the Genesee Country Museum’s Gala in 2004 and 2005.
